Great culinary experience, taste is fantastic, I had #1 rainbow, it looked rainbowy but tasted fantastic.

Popular place to get tasty shave ice located in the Waimea town. Perfect stop to get dessert after having a meal in one of the many restaurants and driving along the Canyon of the Pacific lookouts. Ask for the most popular shave ice they have. You are going to love it. Due to its popularity, the parking on the road get full. You may need to park a block away or two.

JoJo’s shaved ice treat’s are the Best by far that we found on the island of Kauai, we tried a few other places and they did not compare. JoJo’s shaved ice is light and fluffy like eating fresh snow and you can add a hidden ice cream scoop at the bottom for a yummy delicious surprise. My favorite flavor was the #2 with vanilla ice cream. The staff was very pleasant and friendly to interact with. We will definitely be going back.

This place was really good. We got the Berry Berry. Which was three berry flavors in the shave ice which was over vanilla ice cream and had a cream drizzle thing. You get it and get to go outside and sit down on some outdoor benches to enjoy it. Well worth the stop.

Excellent shave ice spots all over Kauai. The Waimea branch is the perfect stop off after hiking up a sweat in Waimea Valley. Their Big Kahuna size is enormous and great value. Sit outside with the chickens to eat it! Great natural flavours and fast friendly service. A Kauai must see!

The tropical breeze shaved ice is amazing!!! Absolutely loved the macadamia nut ice cream as well that comes with shaved ice.

It's just as good, if not better, than everyone suggested! Huge portions, super delicious flavors!! I visited both locations on my trip and preferred this one. The lines were shorter and the area of town was more laid back, but both are worth the wait if there is a line! You get a generous scoop of creamy macadamia nut ice cream in the center, then a giant pile of shaved ice on top where you get to pick your flavors, or order one od the specials listed. I got #3, Tropical Breeze, except changed out the mango for papaya. It was heavenly! Then they top the whole thing with what I'm guessing is a creamy coconut milk? (Edit: i just read the menu, duh. Haha its Haupia, which it turns out is a coconut-milk bases hawaiian dessert!) I would HIGHLY recommend this place, and this combo!!!

Absolutely AMAZING!!! The rainbow ice with macadamia nut ice cream is so delicious. The portion size is HUGE.

Love the huge shave ice that is the smaller of the 2 sizes, and a bit pricey but gigantic with a generous amount of delicious ice-cream. Great syrup and ice cream pairings, like Tropical Breeze (my choice, Lilikoi, guava, and mango syrups with vanilla macadamia ice cream).

Honestly I don't know why so many people come here. I guess it's like the Matsumoto's of Kauai, but a very far cry from that and about double the price. They didn't even put enough syrup to fill in the center part of the ice. If you really want great shave ice and are in the Kapaa area check out Hawaiian Blizzard. You will love it so much more.

Huge portions! Syrups are fresh made and delicious! Only critique is that the ice was not as finely shaved as I've had elsewhere in Hawaii. Service was excellent.

JoJo's is the best shave ice on Kauai. Their Mac nut ice cream is so good and their flavor combinations are wonderful. We went to all three locations and each time the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Simple setup, but generous helpings and friendly staff. Had #15 South shore, and would highly recommend it.

I had a shave ice in another town and based on that lackluster experience of about 2 Tablespoons of mediocre flavor I nearly passed it up. Do not make this mistake. This Jojos shave ice (#2 tropical something or other) had at least 3 flavors plus a creamy sort of blanket over top. Get it. Saturated flavor through the bottom of the shave ice. All on a bed of tropical flavored ice cream. No regrets.

Came on a recommendation from a friend in the mainlands, and I gotta say- Flavor meter was off the charts. Jojo’s delivered in a big way for us. Loved the creative elements to basic shaved ice- such as ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Seriously 6/5 stars!

Over the span of our vacation, JoJo's Shave Ice has been a convenient place to get a quick treat. The portions are pretty large and even though the syrups are your average artificial colors and flavors, it's really good. They also sell ice cream and have a variety of syrup flavors to choose from. The staff are very friendly but the wait can be a bit long considering the usual line. Overall it's a great place to stop by for a frozen treat, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Macadamia ice cream at the bottom was really tasty, the shaved ice itself was good, probably one of the better places on the west coast.

My friends kept telling me I needed to stop at JoJo's while visiting Kauai. I am not a huge fan of shaved ice because I hate the taste of corn syrup. But then I saw someone order one and my interest was piqued. They make their own syrups with sugar, not corn. They put a scoop of ice cream at the bottom and top it off with a homemade cream on top of the flavoring. I've eaten 2 since I've been here.

It's shaved ice. It's good. Great place to hit after cruising up the canyon for a hike or hitting the west side beaches. You can eat in their shaded area or walk the town. Our favorite is the number two with a snow cap.

I love the south side local! The coconut cream was so yummy. I suggest trying it with macadamia nut ice cream!!

The most refreshing, amazing, flavorful shave ice on the planet! Especially after hiking for many hours in the Waimea Canyon...This is our traditional resting-spot after our hike. A short walk away is a beautiful pier on a black sand beach. So romantic💕💕💕

Great shave ice joint! Definitely in the top 3 on the island, but the best prices by far. If you use the coupon from the Kauai Coupon Book you can get free mac nut ice cream and cream topping (must buy 2). The size of these things are incredible. We only got the regular size. I’ll be honest I would have gotten the bigger one but I don’t posses the dexterity required to eat one of these without dumping it all over myself (#lifegoals). The employees were friendly and helpful and made the experience good. Delicious treat especially after a hot day.

Having tried most shave ice on island I prefer other places like Wailua Shave Ice (#1 favorite), Waikomo Shave ice or Fresh Shave (one in Waimea). Those places offer natural flavors and fruit with a lighter fluffier shave ice.

Yes, yes, yes. The shaved ice here is no joke. Our local tour guide told us this was the spot, and he was sure damn right. Got unlike most shaved ice places, Jojo’s isn’t a syrupy sugary artificial mess. They use top-notch ingredients, and it shows. I personally tried the tropical mix - omgggg, THE best. The kiddo got the rainbow. He was more than thrilled with that. Get the ice cream add-on scoop. You won’t regret it. SO GOOD. AHH. Cannot wait to return!! One day soon, Jojo’s! 5 stars

Enormous shaved ice! The size of my head! but they make each one upon request so if there's any line the wait is really long. I loved the vanilla ice cream in the bottom of mine. A tasty touch.

The best shave ice establishment on the island bar none. Look for the coupon booklet around the island and it takes about two bucks off the price! The best bang for your buck!

It's freaking delicious. But go hungry or share with someone because even the smallest size is massive and filling. Guaranteed you won't be disappointed though with taste.

This is a well-known shave ice shop, and the service is very friendly. That being said, I wish the ice was shaved thinner/lighter. Another thing that would put them at 5 stars is a real fruit option.

Really really good. Same as the one elsewhere on the island - super big portions, the syrup is great and the macadamia nut ice cream is superb. Hit this and the shrimp place down a few doors and you’re all set for a good stop in this cute town.
